I am a College Assistant Professor teaching Science
and Social Science subjects at the ASIAN COLLEGE OF
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, Baliuag branch. I am also a
registered Medical Technologist with 3 years of
experience as Research Assistant at the Research
Institute for Tropical Medicine. I am interested in
attending the Jam because I would like to develop a
curriculum and learning activities that are values
oriented and artistically enriching. I believe that
the intrinsic value of any learning activity comes
from the positive changes in the learner. I have been
handling humanities (arts appreciation) subject and
have developed a module on this.

We would like to create some activities for Arts,
Science, and language. Me and my partner are thinking
of designing valuing activities in these fields of
studies. Appreciations of what is beautiful do not
only appeal to one's aesthetic sense but in the real
value of what is good.

Saldevar, Felicisimo M.

I am a college instructor right now. Mid-90's, I
taught
in a private school where I came in contact
young minds who hardly recognized words and
even had difficulty in speaking using
a spoken language. I never ceased instead
toiled to find ways including techniques
on how they could overcome such, the fact that
these young people, I thought, would be the next
Leader and I had responsibilities on them. I
even went uphill-lands to administer Non-Formal
Education not only the young who hadn't gone
formal schooling but mother and the old ones
as well.

It's simply working on the different strategies to
present them
to hone their hidden skills and eventually becoming
competent both in oral and written in this ever
changing world. It will be strategies that
while they are having fun they are learning
and developing their skills.
